Sourcewatch

In doing some reading about what’s really in some pesticides and in the compost given away free by the city, I stumbled across a link to SourceWatch.
Sourcewatch is a wikipedia-like “collaborative, specialized encyclopedia of the people, organizations, and issues shaping the public agenda.” written by the Center for Media and Democracy.
There are a lot of political and corporate corruption issues, like fracking, Elizabeth Warren and the Bailout, and of course the BP Oil SPill, but there are also articles covering something more dear to my heart, the practice some cities have adopted of giving away “Organic Biosolids Compost” which is in fact full of toxins like arsenic and mercury.

It’s pretty much the treehugger’s wiki dream, and you can even sign on to help edit and create it. I love open source! Check it out!
